Dairyland and Haywire…Christmas at the Farm Snohomish
As we head into December, most people I know are looking to put up a tree. Troy always wants to head up into the mountains and cut one down. I want to get a fake one so I can ignore it and not vacuum up pine needles. So going to a local tree farm is kind of a compromise.
Troy saw a Facebook post last week about trees for sale at Dairyland in Snohomish and we knew we just had to go. We had no idea what we were in for. To say it was magic is a disservice to the experience. There were literally trees everywhere. Now usually when you go to a tree lot, the trees are all bunched together or even tied up so its impossible to really see what you are buying. They have displayed the trees indiviually throughout the grounds so you can inspect the whole tree to find the perfect one for you. They have the cutest cutouts that our kids just had to stop and take pictures at. And when you are chilled to the bone, there is a massive bonfire to crowd around and warm up!
Walking into the barn is like stepping into a whole new world! That may sound dramatic, but I literally had to stop and just stare for a minute. Madison was immediately offered hot chocolate and a candy cane. We then started to wander around looking at the amazing Christmas decor, gifts, food, and crafts for sale. The kids even had a huge table full of activities to do while we shopped.
If you go on Saturday or Sunday, Santa will be there! We went on a Friday, so our kids were a little bummed that we missed him, but they sure had fun playing with his sleigh!
